Albert Pujols led his team to 2 World Series Championships, has a statue getting ready to be built along side Stan Musial in Cardinals Lore. But he was angry that the Cardinals didn't offer him enough money, but went to a team that is considered, on paper, far superior.
So let me ask you this. Have you lost respect for Pujols?
Simple enough, money aside, do you now consider Pujols the new LeBron James of the MLB? Or do you think the Cardinals overestimated their ability to sign him cheaper because he would go down as one of the greatest Cardinals in history, while disrespecting him by not going all out for him.
1) Yes, I have lost respect for him because he took the "money" over the city.
2) No. He made the best choice for him and his career, and he has already done more than enough for the city of St. Louis and the Cardinals ownership took him for granted.
