How does Prince Fielder signing with the Tigers impact your rankings? If Miguel Cabrera plays third base, does he become a potential number one pick?

Our first base rankings are going up this afternoon (we will post a link once they are up), be sure to check them out. We had several talks about the impact on Fielder's value and the move to Detroit didn't change it in any way. We expect the same level of production out of him.

As for Miggy, the move to third does raise his value to the point where he could easily be a #1 pick. Being eligible at multiple positions is a plus in itself but with all the question marks at the top of the 3B rankings this year he becomes very valuable in that spot on your roster.

Man there are a lot of good first basemen out there. I think Votto is going to have a monster year, should be the best first baseman in the NL.

Of all of the infield positions 1B is easily the deepest. Votto is a major talent and the best option from the NL with the bulk of the talent in the AL, especially with Pujols and Prince moving there.

Just be careful, while it is a very deep position, there is a large drop off after the top 7-8 guys. Don't wait too long and miss out on all of that production.
