A- Cris Carter isn't in yet! How the hell does Art Monk get into any HOF before Cris Carter??????
B- VINCE LOMBARDI wasn't in on his 1st try.
C- It is as easy as heck to get in. If you were a baseball player, it's WAY easier to determine who's really a HOF caliber player.
Good points. I think a big difference between the NFL and MLB is that a lot of greatest NFL players played during the past couple of decades, whereas the Mickey Mantles, Joe DiMaggios, Ted Williamses, and Babe Ruths played a looooong time ago.
So, the competition to get in to the NFL Hall of Fame nowadays is stiffer than the MLB.
The NFL Hall of Fame sucks simply because there's too much competition. Too many great players get left out because of their arbitrary limits. The HOF shouldn't really require competition...if you're great, you should get in, that simple. Yeah, you'll have a lot of inductees every year, but there are a lot more people on a football team than any other sport, and more unique positions at which to excel.
